Jul 29, 1997: -- Personal News --
Hi, everyone!
No, I didn't commit suicide after the Dolphins' sad performance on
Saturday, although I felt like it for a while.
What happened this weekend is that I was moving myself, one car,
assorted clothes, and my computer to that garden spot of the Garden
State - Jersey City, NJ. That is just a temporary location for me,
but it caused me to miss the game and to get way behind in dealing
with my email, my web site and my reports.
To top it all off, I was having trouble with the phone lines in the
apartment that I'm living in and my internet access was sporadic, at
best.
Of course, on Monday, I started my new job at Philips Research labs.
And of course, in the interests of establishing a good starting
relationship with my coworkers, I didn't feel like I could spend a lot
of time working on my web page during the day. This may change in the
future as my immediate supervisor is a huge Dolphins fan, but for
right now, I have to pay some attention to my new job.
The news isn't all bad, however. My wife and I just rented a house in
New Rochelle and we'll be moving in there in the next week or two.
It's a nice house, but the most important feature that it has is an
unobstructed view of the southwestern sky and an understanding owner.
To be more specific, I will be getting my first DSS Satellite Dish in
a few weeks and I will be subscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket immediately
thereafter. I'll never have to miss another game again!
So that's what's been going on. I am sorry to have been so silent,
but hopefully things will be better from now on.
GO DOLPHINS!
