In 24 hrs Miami will be on the clock at #13. Good luck # for us Historicly. So many great options are available but if Miami is smart......and they are not ......tbey find a partner and trade down. Get a lower #1 and an additional pick. Maybe get lucky with trading Tyreek .
God bless you Curt for this place and 1 last draft. Maybe we get lucky this year.......
Honestly.....No Olineman ( ofense greatest need) worthy of the top of the 1st round. AND .......Miami doesn't have cap space for a high pick.If they do take a player at 13 I hope its defense for the holes created by letting Wilkins, Van Ginkle, and Ramsey leave. Miami is not in a good place.
Ramsey pretty much confirmed it. Miami is F***ed because of the insane contracts Grier gave out. He figured we would win so no one would mind when it came time to pay the Piper. Now he cant move anyone because these contracts are so bad. Definitely not on day 1 anyway.
A very sad day for me after learning about Curt. RIP
Our draft will be as usual....Grier has brought the Dolphins to its lowest tide. I can't expect much and won't expect much. Will watch the draft as usual but with little hope of anything good happening for the team or the fans.
I loved that Christian Wilkins was a Dolphin, and was REALLY sad/mad to see him leave.
Often I wonder about 'what if' scenarios such as....what if Wilkins had remained a Dolphin...would he have not had that major foot injury? Obviously he would have had different opponents, game scenarios etc so obviously that's a silly thing for me to wonder about.
There was even a rumor that Wilkins might not be ready for Week 1, but that rumor was quelled by the fact that the Raiders did not select Grant, and by no real validation of that rumor in the first place (if Belicheat was still in the league I'd have thought he was the one planting the rumor).
With all our needs we could have gone a number of directions at 13 and would have been good picks.
In a "trenches" 1st round, good to get the 2nd DT off the board before so many more were picked the rest of the round.
Would have been nice to grab a 3rd or 4th from Indy for them to move up one pick to get Warren if possible since their pick came in so quickly - seems like they were set on him.
Lots of talent left, which is a good thing cuz we need 3-4 quality starters out of this draft.
I like the Grant pick as mentioned it was a good time to take a DL1 if we waited we would be 'reaching'. Grant is solid. I think we should stay w/ the DL in rnd 2 and get someone on the other end of Sieler. I like Collins (TX) of Farmer (FSU).

My thoughts exactly. Management has screwed this team so bad over the years. It's a real shame. They prevent this team from being serious contenders.
The Miami Dolphins made a trade in the 2025 NFL draft, receiving the No. 37 pick from the Las Vegas Raiders. They used that pick to select Arizona guard Jonah Savaiinaea.
The Dolphins traded away three picks: a second-rounder (No. 48 overall), a third-rounder (98) and a fourth-rounder (135). They received the 37th pick and a fifth-round pick (143). Miami now has seven picks remaining in the NFL draft. They previously took defensive tackle Kenneth Grant in the first round.
Holy shit......SMH. Well....they finally addressed The Oline. So hopefully this kids a stud. We paid dearly though. We gave up a 2nd a 3rd and 4th. To move up. If we finally got a stud on the line Ill take it. But damn. We needed those picks. I hope we get some corner help now . God damn.
The Dolphins still have one pick in Round 4 (No. 116 overall), three selections in Round 5, and three more in Round 7. They do not have a selection in Round 6.
I think they should work on trying to keep Ramsey if they want to remain competive.
Jason Taylors son went to the Jets. Sad.......the kiss of death.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!

The Dolphins traded their remaining pick in the fourth round, the 116th overall, to the Houston Texans and picked up a 2026 third-round selection in the process.
The full details involve the Dolphins giving up picks 116 and 224 (in the seventh round) for that 2026 third-rounder and the 179th pick this year at the start of the sixth round.
The trade left the Dolphins with eight overall picks this year, with three left in the fifth round, one in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Based on the trade compensation chart, the Dolphins came out ahead in terms of value, though it did not help them fill their many needs this year.
This is where we start to wonder the reason for the trade, and maybe it starts with the idea that the Dolphins could use that extra 2026 draft capital in a later move for a veteran — perhaps a cornerback.
It also could mean, as NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah suggested, that GM Chris Grier feels comfortable that he'll still be on the job next year.
As it stands, the Dolphins have gone from having four picks in the first four rounds of this 2025 draft to having just two, which they have used on DT Kenneth Grant and OL Jonah Savaiinaea.
The Dolphins got Savaiinaea after trading up in the second round, moving from 48th overall to 37th by giving up third- and fourth-round selections — the Dolphins also got a fifth-round pick.
I DONT fing get it. Hes stacking picks for next season? Huh? Grier is reckless. I just dont understand how he can be all about winning right now......now hes giving this season away for next year!?
The master plan might be to go after Manning next year's draft. Grier might be loading up on ammo to move up from 2nd to 1st pick in case we win a game this season.
I like the Jordin Phillips DT grab. Im happy hes going after trench posistions . This guy has it all except.....production. not 1 sack his entire college career but hes a disrupter for sure. Could be a diamond in the rough. We can never have enough 300pd depth.
Mixed feelings on this draft they got 2 players I wanted in Grant and Savaiinaea but in typical Phins fashion I don't agree w/ some things.
Grant, great player, dominates at NT. He can have a positive impact on the entire D. Strong, collapses the Oline even when double team. We should see more qb pressure, sacks and short yardage tackles from the other guys. Problem, Im hearing we want to play him at end, not smart imo he is too slow.
Drafting Phillips makes me think this is true. Phillips is a good NT but its like we double down on that position (triple w/ Biggers). Weaver is a good defensive coordinator so Im sure he watched these guys tapes and has a plan. This looks like a DC's draft.
I hope we get an end in free agency or trade Ramsey for Hendrickson (I think he can play 3-4 end).
Savaiinaea makes up for the loss of Hunt, good pickup. Not sure we had to trade up to get him but their were 7 OL-men drafted in round 1 so I guess the Phins got spooked and traded up.
Some folks like the safety Trader from MD. Not that familiar w/ him but on video he reminds me of Mukuba the safety from TX and that is not a bad thing.
Im a bit familiar w/ Marshal and I like the other CB from FL, Bridges better. Marshall is a good corner and I think both of these gys will play higher than their draft positions. Gator db's are well coached.
Gordon is a big RB, good hands and a good receiver. I see why the drafted him when he was there in rnd 6.
I like Ewers sometimes he looks like a 1st rounder but other times you see why he dropped. I think its upstairs and if he listens to his coaches. We shall see.
Miami drafted for need at every position. They did not get best player at any position . Guess time will tell but Historicaly Miami usually shits the bed and proves them right.
I agree they didn't get the best player at any position, which was probably only realistic with our #13.
Several of the OT that went before us at 13 are mapped to OG, or at least could end up there. The S and CB market were odd in that the 1st ones off the board were at 27 & 30 (noting, as they were positions of need for us).
The Grant pick of DT at #13 reminded me of Wilkins in 2019 (DT @ 13). Wilkins was the 3rd DT picked that year and while I think Q Williams is a bit better (but not by much), I think Wilkins is quite a bit better than Ed Oliver.
I'm hopeful that Anthony Weaver knows as much as he appears to about developing and lining up the best players in his defense so that it's a real strength.
