My Comments:
As with all schedules, there are some good things and some bad
things. The good is that the Dolphins only have 2 potential cold
weather games - Nov 1st at the Bills and Nov 23rd against the Patriots
in Foxboro. And it's not likely that either game will be frigid.
Only the Patriots game is at all likely to be really cold.
The other good news is that the Dolphins have 2 of their last
3 games at home and their final game, while on the road, is against
the Falcons.
They open against the Colts in Indianapolis and that game will
go a long way towards setting the tone for the season. If the
Dolphins can beat the Colts in Indy, they will be in good shape for
the next 2 games, which are at home against the Bills and the
Steelers.
Outside of the division games, they only have 4 really tough
opponents - the Steelers, the Broncos, the Jaguars and possibly the
Panthers and they get the Steelers and the Broncos in Miami where they
will be more vulnerable.
On the bad side, they have to face 3 division opponents in the
first 4 games and their bye week is very early again.
Overall, however, it's a pretty good schedule.
