Aug 07, 1996: -- 'Phins Sign Guard Garin Patrick --

ESPNet Sportszone is reporting tonight that the Dolphins have signed offensive guard Garin Patrick. Patrick was on the roster of the Indianapolis Colts last year and is listed as 6'3" and 269 lbs with 1 year of experience on the Colts 1995 roster.

He played his college ball at the University of Louisville. Given his lack of experience, I would expect him to have been signed for 1 year at league minimum.

As always, if anyone has any more information about Patrick, I would welcome it.

My Comments:

I can't imagine why they would sign Patrick, unless they just need a placeholder while Bert Weidner is on the mend.
