Dolphins News: Andrew Greene to Start

*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***

Dec 20, 1995: -- Andrew Greene to Start --

2nd round draft pick Andrew Greene will get his first start of the season on Sunday when he lines up next to fellow draftee Billy Milner at right guard. Neither player was anticipated to be the starter this season, but both got the chance when the original starters went down with injuries.

Greene moved into the lineup last Sunday against the Bills after Tom McHale (groin) and Bert Weidner (hip strain) were both hurt in that game. He played most of the second half against Buffalo.

Greene is the 4th Dolphin player this year to start at the right guard position. Chris Gray, the original starting right guard, was injured in the second game against the Patriots. Since then, either Tom McHale or Bert Weidner have started for the Dolphins at that position.

Also questionable for Sunday's game at St. Louis are LB Dewayne Dotson (right knee), S Louis Oliver (left ankle), CB J.B. Brown (left knee), CB Frankie Smith (wrist), WR Mike Williams (ankle), TE Eric Green (right knee) and FB Robert Wilson (right ankle).

In other news, the NFL is reviewing Bryan Cox's behavior in last Sunday's game against the Bills to determine if some kind of disciplinary action is warranted. Both the fight that he got in and his spitting are being reviewed and a decision on disciplinary action is expected by the end of the week.

The Bills' Carwell Gardner also faces disciplinary action for his part in the fight.

My Comments: The Dolphins seem to have a knack for attracting injuries. The list is long and growing longer. It's all well and good to have depth at any position, but no team can expect to do well with this many injuries.
