Dolphins News: Eric Green says he'll play Sunday
*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***
Oct 31, 1995: -- Eric Green says he'll play Sunday --
According to a story in USA Today on Tuesday, Eric Green says
that he will be back and will play against the San Diego Chargers on
Sunday.
Green had been sidelined after having surgery to remove loose
cartilege from his knee, but wasn't expected back for another few
weeks. Green did dress for the Bills' game last Sunday, but did not
play.
In other news, the Dolphins have decided to fly out to San
Diego on Saturday instead of the usual Friday arrival. Apparently,
this stems from the fact that the game will start at 8 PM instead of
the usual 1 or 4 PM starts.
The other reason the Dolphins are trying something different
is that they haven't had much luck on the west coast. They are 10-21
in west coast games in the history of the team and have lost the last
5 against San Diego in San Diego - including last year's playoff
disaster.
My Comments:
It will be great to see Eric Green back. Ronnie Williams
didn't play all that bad, but he was beaten a couple of times on
blocking assignments. I had thought that he wouldn't be back for 2 or
3 more weeks, but he says he's ready now.
As far as the Dolphins trying something new in San Diego - I'm
all for it. Anything to change their luck out in Southern
California.
