Aug 19, 1995: -- Five Rookies Waived --

The Dolphins announced Friday that five rookies have been waived as part of the cutdown to 60 that must be completed by next Tuesday.

The players cut were: Running Back Ontiwaun Carter, Linebacker Travis Cooper, Wide Receiver Randy Gatewood, Guard Dave Hack and Safety Larry Kennedy.

All of these players were undrafted rookie free agents that would have had to have shown great talent to have made the team.

In other news, defensive tackle Corey Swinson, who was cut by the Dolphins last week, has signed with the St. Louis Rams.

My Comments:

None of these guys had much of a chance of making the team. Perhaps they can catch on somewhere else.
