Dolphins News: Singleton Activated
*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***
Aug 15, 1995: -- Singleton Activated --
The Dolphins have removed Chris Singleton from the Physically
Unable to Perform (PUP) list and activated him. Singleton has been
sidelined since the middle of last season after breaking his leg and
requiring surgery.
The Dolphins also waived defensive end Martin Hochertz, safety
Deon Johnson and kicker Craig Fayak.
My Comments:
Singleton is the last member of the starting defense from last
year to join practice. Odds are that he won't play in the game this
Friday and he may not be ready for the game next week, but he is now
officially back on the regular roster, which means that the Dolphins
expect him to be ready for the opening game of the season.
Hochertz, Deon Johnson and Craig Fayak have really been just
place-holders on the roster for most of training camp and their
departure will not be noticed.
