Dolphins' News: Dellenbach visits Patriots

*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***

Feb 24, 1995: -- Dellenbach visits Patriots --

The Boston Globe reported this morning that Patriots' coach Bill Parcells is interested in signing Dolphins' free agent center Jeff Dellenbach. Apparently Parcells prefers Dellenbach ( who is 6'5" and 300 lbs) to Mark Stepnoski of the Cowboys (who is 6'2" and 269 lbs ), apparently because Dellenbach is much bigger.

Dellenbach will visit the Patriots this week.

The Globe also reported that the Patriots are interested in trading for Mark Ingram, who played for Parcells with the New York Giants. Ingram has made it clear that he would like to be let go by the Dolphins.

My Comments:

It would be a shame to lose Dellenbach, but I think that Tim Ruddy can step in and fill his shoes pretty well.

Ingram is as good as gone, and the only thing that remains is to see how much the Dolphins can get for him. Ingram only had one good game this year and is not worth the money or effort needed to keep him.

It's been remarked that Ingram doesn't like being yelled at by Marino. Obviously he's forgotten what it's like to be coached by Bill Parcells.
