*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***
Dec 08, 1997: -- Jordan Injures Groin --

During today's press conference in Miami, JJ announced the wide receiver Charles Jordan had pulled a groin muscle against the Lions yesterday and will probably miss the next game against Indianapolis. In his absence, Qadry Ismail and Brian Manning will be evaluated to take his place.

Even with his injury, Jordan lead the receivers with 5 catches for 51 yards against the Lions. This followed his breakout effort against the Raiders last week of over 100 yards and 2 touchdown.

For the time being, Jordan will be day-to-day, but may be back against the Patriots on Monday night.

My Comments:

Well, it figures that the Dolphins would have another injury at this point in the year, especially just as Jordan was emerging as a legitimate deep threat.

It's not a devastating injury, but it sure would be nice to have Jordan in the lineup.

Still, perhaps Ismail or Manning will finally set up and make their presence felt in the lineup.
