Sep 14, 1996: -- Jordan Out for Jets Game --

The Miami Herald is reporting that WR Charles Jordan, who played in his first game last weekend against the Cardinals, will miss Sunday's game against the Jets after leaving practice early on Friday. Jordan, who had 2 catches for 51 yards against the Cardinals, sprained his knee during that game and was listed as questionable for this Sunday's game.

On Thursday, Jordan had a good day of practice and looked ready to play this Sunday. However, he felt dizzy and lightheaded at Friday's practice and left early. As a result, he will most likely be listed as inactive for Sunday, while Randal Hill, who was inactive last week, will get a chance to play Sunday.

It looks right now as if Lamar Thomas will get the start for the second week in a row, especially after he caught a TD pass last week. Scott Miller had started the first week, but was replaced by Thomas last week.

It also looks as if Karm Abdul-Jabbar will still be listed as the starting running back, although JJ plans to continue to use both him and Irving Spikes a lot throughout the game.

As always, the final determination won't be made until just before gametime.

My Comments:

JJ's policy of having the player who practices the best start during the week is affecting the wide receivers. So far, there have been two starters at wide receiver, with Thomas being catching the TD, but Miller still being "Mr. Steady" at the spot opposite OJ. And it was Miller who made the fumble recovery for a TD after Pritchett coughed up the ball against the Patriots.

Personally, I don't care who starts opposite OJ as long as they catch the passes thrown to them.
