Dolphins' News: Randal Hill Signs with 'Phins

*** DOLPHINS NEWS ***

Mar 03, 1995: -- Randal Hill Signs with 'Phins --

Unrestricted free agent Randall Hill signed a one year contract with the Dolphins yesterday, for undisclosed terms. A former first round draft pick of the Dolphins, Hill was traded to Arizona in 1991 for a first round pick in 1992, which turned out to be Troy Vincent.

Last year, Hill played in 15 games for the Cards and caught 38 passes for 544 yards - a 14.3 yard/catch average - but didn't have any touchdowns.

In the rumors department, the Boston Globe reported this morning that Dolphins may have to let Jeff Dellenbach go in order to save enough money to sign Chris Singleton, who is being sought by the Denver Broncos.

Also, the Dolphins are reportedly asking only a 6th round draft pick as a trade for Mark Ingram. Ingram is supposedly being sought by the New England Patriots.

My Comments:

Hill could be the speedster that the Dolphins have needed at wide receiver. Remember that a fast deep threat doesn't have to catch that many balls, he just has to spread the defense out and keep them honest.

This trade certainly worked in the Dolphins' favor.
