It also appears I am not the only guy in the world, that thinks we need to "kind of" see a big jump in Tannehill's development...

Jonathan Martin needs to get stronger to be a good player at either position. Having Jonathan Martin as our number 1 tackle is not that comforting at this point, at least to me... Is he a bust, of course not. He is young and has the stature to put on strength and the intelligence to improve his game, am I willing to bet our season on his vast improvement, no... Can I live with him blocking the se

I appreciate the acknowledgment of what was said Truth...
He never said prototype, here is Ben Volin's report about it-
Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland appeared on the team-owned radio show Monday on 940-AM and said the team gambled by investing in Tannehill.

Having our starting tackles next year being Winston and Martin does nothing to comfort my fears about the tackle position.. Signing a fairly cheap starting LT is not a bad way to go... The thing about Johnson is most of the scouts I have heard say you are really splitting hairs when ranking the top 3 tackles. I have heard them say Johnson has the most upside of the 3 and the only reason he is bel

If you guys are going to use my name and say what you think I have said can you at least be accurate... I have never said Tannehill was a bust nor had little talent and challenge either of you to prove otherwise... If you dont have that evidence of me saying he is a bust, I will await your apology and retraction.. If you are not man enough to admit your foolishness lies about others then I guess

Pat White rushed for 4,480 yards in college.. The most ever for any QB in the history of college football... Never had injury problems, playing for the same alumni as Austin... Do you know how many yards he was able to rush for in the NFL before he took an injury that knocked him out of the NFL......81 yards.... There is a big difference between playing at WVU and playing in the NFL... The odds a

Playing the slot in the NFL you get hit, Austin rarely got hit in college from what I have seen.. He always ran out of bounds to avoid contact or spun off guys. Slot WRs in the NFL dont get to run out of bounds very often. I dont think it works out well for him.. Wes Welker and Steve Smith are 2 of the toughest guys in the NFL. Do you remember the type of hits Welker use to take in Miami, and bou

We didnt score a lot of points last year our redzone offense was atrocious... Yet both Hartline and Bess had career years for yard and career worse for TDs... In 2011 we had 20 TD's scored in the passing game, which isnt very good, last year we had 12... From what I watched last year, the rookie was certainly part of the issues in the redzone passing game. Was it all on him, no of course not, wa

Bess had 778 yards in 13 games last year. Gibson had 691 in 16 games... Bess's lack of TD's was more about a rookie QB or offensive scheme which had issues in the redzone IMO not Bess, as Hartline only had 1 TD last year as well..
Trading away Bess would be foolish.. He is a legit player, and could really shine this year in the slot with Wallace and Hartline drawing most of the focus from def

JC- Seeing a halftime locker room speech in a tight divisional game could be pretty cool... Seeing coaches or players get fired up behind the scenes is intriguing to me.. Obviously there is no value in showing a guy get taped up... However seeing behind the scenes interaction is probably more interesting to a lot of people then some cheesy halftime show... I always enjoyed getting to the game ear

The NFL will require teams to install cameras in home locker rooms for the 2013 season, and the teams will have the option to use the video in the stadium during halftime and other breaks in play.
The move is part of an effort to improve the experience of attending NFL games by providing fans with footage and entertainment that they can’t get at home. Teams will be able to show the vide

Lol, the failures on offense were as much Tannehill's fault as anyone else's.. I know in order to make you feel warm and fuzzy, the failures were on everybody but Tannehill.. But anyone with half a football IQ knows that surely was not the case... Tannehill was very raw last year and has a long way to go with his game.. Just as Ireland and Philbin have both said repeatedly.. It is lame that you

I agree, it is a risk signing injured players.. You either get lucky or you get a player that was a shell of his former self... Ultimately we didnt have a lot of options in FA, or a lot of faith betting on Sea

Yes, Hartline, Fasano, Bess, and Bush among others were all Tannehill options depending on the play... But far to much, Tannehill decided who he was throwing to long before the ball was snapped and tended to stare that guy down...
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
From what I saw, and a lot of young QB's do this, he tended to stare down his primary option to much... and release the ball quick to that option, not always letting the play develop... Henne did the same thing.... But I wouldnt say Tannehill was a checkdown Charlie, to much unless coverage truly dictated it. I agree he didnt let it rip all that often and was fairly conservative with his choices

I just think you can no more claim Tannehill would have been the number 1 pick then you can claim Tannehill would have beat arguably the most talented redshirt freshman in the history of college football... Tannehill is no slouch but Manziel is the best history has ever seen at his age... Had the coaches started Tannehill over Manziel, it would have obviously been a mistake... FOr the coaches to

When the College football season opened this year Barkley was the number 1 rated draft prospect... By the time the season was over it was a different story..
I am honestly not sure if Tannehill would have beaten out Manziel, maybe that is why he came out early. He worried what being benched his senior year for a redshirt freshman might do to his draft stock..He might have fallen into the third

You can take this in a million different directions, how about I am not sure Tannehill would have even started this year, had he stayed at A&M... His replacement won the Heisman and beat the National champs as a redshirt freshman while competing against much tougher compeition in the SEC....
or
How about the same could have been said about Barkley had he come out last year.... But we all kn

If KC plan on taking Joekel, they are going to try and move Albert.. If we are going to have to trade a 2nd or third to move up and take Fisher or Johnson... It is in the realm of possibility we would trade for Albert instead of trading up. We were interested in paying Long pretty well.. So I wouldn't rule out that we would be willing to pay a franchised LT like Albert.. Not sure it will happen b

The real exciting idea to me of who we draft would be if we trade one of our 2nd rd pick for Brandon Albert just before the draft opens. I am not saying I want to do that, but just how interesting that move would make our 1st rd selection..
Then all bets are off as to who we might draft.... It would truly be BPA...
