I don't see us taking Austin either. I also think Menelik Watson may be in the mix....not Fluker though. If we draft Cooper then we probably sign Winston. LT Martin LG Cooper C Pouncey RG competition between Incog and Louis RT Winston That's a lot of inexperience on the blind side.

I don't see any DE's worth trading up for...too many questions and the top prospects are boom or bust picks with little experience and college production. Personally I like Werner and Carradine @12 more than Ansah or Jordan @ 5 or 6. Milliner could be worth it but rumors say some teams don't think he is all that. His stock has dropped a bit for some even though he ran a blazing 40. The i

3. Re: DT
Kiper said Joeckel and Fisher would be ranked in the 8-12 range in a typical year but this is a weak draft for star quality. NO top running backs, wide receivers, pass rushers or QB's weaken the draft this year IMO....and one top CB.

I think.....We are either trading up for a LT... trading down for value and more picks.... or taking Werner, Carradine or Tyler Eifert at 12....just my opinion. I think it has to be a pass rusher or TD scorer if we stay put......or a DT if Lotu or Shariff drop to us.

Quote:Todd McShayScenario 1: "With the loss of OT Jake Long, the Dolphins would surely like to package picks and trade up to get ahead of Arizona and lock down their left tackle spot," McShay wrote. Scenario 2: "Should Warmack or Cooper fall here due to positional-value concerns, they would offer good value and help solidify the offensive front." Scenario 3: "If Miami o

9. Re: DT
It would depend on who else is available. I know we need to think about DT for the future but taking one this year would be a luxury pick IMO. I think since we have a year to develop someone we may be better off taking one in the 3rd round or later who we can work into a starting spot in the future. Starks and Soliai aren't getting any younger but we have other pressing needs IMO. CB & PR

I think even if two QB's go in the top 10, there will still be 4 lineman off the board as well. KC - OT Jax OT, PR or QB Oak - QB or DT or PR Phi - OT or QB or PR Det - CB or OT Cle - CB or PR or OG AZ - OT or PR Buf - OT or WR or QB NYJ - WR or QB or PR Ten - PR or WR SD - OT or OG or WR Mia ????? The other issue is teams trading up to land a LT or QB. 2 DT's, 1 PR, 3 OT's,

I think several players could fall into that category. Maybe not just to get cut but to be moved in some fashion. We have several players that will soon be free agents and that are working on one year contracts...or that just present questions about scheme fit, health, ability, etc. I could see many of these positions being addressed in the draft and the dominoes may fall according to how t

So it would cost Miami a 2nd and a 3rd to move up two spots but it would only cost the Saints a 3rd to move up 3 spots? The guy needs to take a look at the trade value chart.

While I love Lane Johnson, I would hate to give up #42 (or 54) and #12 to get him. Maybe a trade down to take a shot at two of these players.... Tyler Eifert, Menelik Watson, Tank Carradine. It seems we will have to trade up to the #4-6 range to land LJ. Not much chance he falls much further.

Considering Martin was one of the worst ranked tackles in the league last year, that may be a position we end up doubling up on. Taking a LT high and a RT in the 3rd. I just think that if they were confident in Martin at LT then we would have signed a RT by now. All signs point to the contrary....even though they said they like Martin on the left. I call shenanigans. One other thing I will

It is starting to seem to me that the FO isn't too optimistic about Martin protecting Tannehill's blind side. Signs to that effect.... 1. They could sign Winston, a quality RT to a reasonable deal. He said he was willing to sign a short term deal....yet they have not signed him. 2. No interest in Clabo. 3. They were interested (to a degree) in resigning Jake Long to play LT so Martin co

He has a good work ethic which is a must. He is currently working out at the IMG Academy with Weinke AGAIN this year. He was nursing an injury last year when he was there and I guess he wanted to refine some technical issues before camp. Gotta like that. He has also been working out with Dolphin receivers.

I don't think anyone is saying we should get rid of Bess just because he won't be here next year. I'm saying we should... A. try and get something for him IF (and only IF) he is beaten out and becomes our 4th or 5th WR B. take that 3.6 mil in cap space and put it toward someone who will do more than get 30-40 snaps this year, should he get demoted. There are two or three ways he could

Bess also averaged 12.8 in 2012. He also averaged almost 14 td's a year in college and a 12.3 avg....but ok, probably not a good comparison since one is in college and the other in the pros....

I am starting to think Tank Carradine may be the best option for us in the first round. Since the OT's will be gone and no one wants to give a #12 and #82 up to get one player who may end up at right tackle... The top CB will be gone and no one is losing sleep over not getting Xavier Rhodes who is not really a zone corner. This is a deep draft at those positions and we can find one in th

If Tavon Austin is such a play making threat at WR, why did he score half as many td's and fewer yards than Stedman Bailey? They both had the same number of receptions in 2012. Senior year.... It was also a different era. Defensive players are bigger and faster now compared to 30+ years ago when Clayton started. You didn't see many of the big CB's that you see today because you didn't see the mammoth WR's you see today. Truth is I'm not sure about Austin. I have mixed feelings.

Since the rookie pool will probably only count around 3-4 mil against the cap and maybe another 4-5 million left to spend filling out the roster, I expect we will carry over around 10 mil to 2014.
