Paul Boudreau used to be 0-line coach for the Dolphins. Of all the coaching changes we've been through in the last few years, the firing of Boudreau was probably the biggest loss. He was one of the few things Jimmy Johnson did right, in my opinion. He was with us through the first of the Wanny years, and his leaving was one of Wanny's first mistakes. Boudreau's O-line was really good and getting

I'm looking for the RGB numbers- 3 distinct numbers. Berk, that number was close- I broke it up into three, and I got an aqua hue with just a touch too much green. In case you were wondering- I use the colors on my computer personalization. Just an old habit, and not a big deal.

I think MANY of us hate it. It's waaay too effeminate, it reminds me of a USFL team (its NOT an NFL-quality logo!), looks like an advertisement for a cruise line or SeaWorld, and it looks like a fish on a hook. I would never be caught dead wearing anything with this "softer, gentler Dolphins" logo on it. On the positive side, I like the reversion to the original colors. I'm stunned and

It DOES...you know...suck. I agree with the guys that say it's not a good FOOTBALL logo. It looks like an advertisement for SeaWorld or some cruise line - although, if you look carefully, you can almost see the hook in its mouth. Terrible.

That was one of the sloppiest halves of football I have seen in 45 years of watching pro football. not in terms of turnovers, but in terms of poor play. Both teams should be ashamed. Also, what's going on with the injuries? For the first time this year, this team doesn't look ready to play.
Not a game the '72 team will be impressed with, even if we eventually win by 50.

If that is the case, then that was a monumentally stupid play. I don't blame Carpenter at all for being incensed, contrary to what the talking head said.

I completely disagree. Head coaches have to learn to be head coaches just like rookies have to learn their positions in the pros. Guys that were head coaches before and were fired had to learn how to be good head coaches, like Belichick did. How do you learn to be a head coach when you are an assistant coach? You don't, any more than a Vice-President learns to be president- until he's actually in

We definitely need an upgrade in the receiver corps, but when you have 3 guys open and miss them, that's not playcalling.

The defense keeps us in it till mistakes change the complexion of the game- and it seems its always us that makes the mistakes- and then our total lack of offense bites us in the a$$! We won't beat too many teams if we can only score field goals.
Unbelieveable-Tannehill misses his last six passes, two to open receivers-not wide open, but makeable throws. The defense falls apart in the final dr

I have always thought that when a member of the punting team fielded the ball and touched down inbounds that the ball was dead at that spot. How can a player carry a dead ball into the endzone for a touchback? Am I incorrect?
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
Do you think Tannehill should come in for any criticism? Your post says that if Tannehill has a bad game, its the O-line's fault. That's a silly position.

The point is, just because its your opinion, or my opinion, or anybody's opinion doesn't make it the "truth", and I'm tired of people posting something and claiming its the "truth", or asking us to "let's face it" because that opinion has to be the truth, or using analogies that don't mean anything. Analogies are very slippery things, and a I have no problem pointing

Tannehill was as responsible for this loss as anybody. He made rookie mistakes, didn't seem to be on the same page as his receivers for much of the game, gave the Patriots a short field early, missed Brian Hartline deep twice when he was WIDE open, and led the offense to too many 3-and-outs late in the game to take any of the pressure off the defense (a battered and injury-riddled defense), so th

Too many mistakes against a good team, but they hung in there. I thought this was the year, now I think its the year before. We have a LOT of picks in next year's draft and some good young talent. Ireland has proved his ability to pick talent, so I have great optimism for next year.
This year, however is NOT over. We may not win the AFC East, maybe not even make the playoffs, but the rest of th

I'm sure you believe what you post, but some of us don't agree with you. You can claim it's the truth, but its only the truth as you see it. We have "truths" of our own.

Typical of what? I don't have an "agenda" regarding Tannehill, I just let his performance speak for him. I WANT him to succeed, then my team wins. But I'm not going to call a mediocre performance - and that is what I saw - anything but what I believe it was.

You are quite incorrect. All players are "complimentary" to the team's winning aspirations, no matter how good they are.

The only "rocks" I am seeing are between your ears. Instead of talking about inanimate objects, let's get back to football.

You have misquoted my post, but I will resume this conversation later in the week. You might be right about the game day emotions.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
"Everyone else is a complimentary piece." Yes, that is correct. Their job is to compliment Tannehill, and, by your own admission, they are that.
Forum: Miami Dolphins Civilized Discussion
I don't agree with this. If you watch the game film of the Tennessee game, its clear that the players were put in positions to make plays, they just didn't make them. If the coaches put the players where they need to be- time after time after time- and they don't make the play, that's NOT coaching.

If you cannot see the weapons that we do have on this team, you are being willfully blind, because the talent is there for all to see.

since he got that pick in the endzone back, Tannehill played excellently. I think- I hope- Tannehill learned what it takes to bring a team back from the adversity of a kickoff runback for a TD to score twice to win the game. I think this is a huge step for the rookie- a step Chad Henne never took. This was something I think we all needed to see. GO DOLPHINS!
